well i always promise i'll post regularly but clearly i've been lying to you. after my last post my life picked up it's pace [if that's possible]. i've been in london doing a study of the underground there for intel. the project is called aesthetic journeys and you'll be able to hear all about it soon. i ran around london riding the tube in the heat wave, taking photos, being stopped by police, following newspapers, and interviewing all sorts of folks. i was there about 6 weeks and returned to the states for all of 4 days in the middle of that [owing to a bunch of cancelled flights. boo, delta, boo]. now i am in portland for another few days whereupon i will fly down to the bay area and try to pick up my car which is still unwell. he's in the hands of aaron at advanced audi having his engine rebuilt. with any luck one day [hopefully september 14th] pablo will ride again and he will take me all the way back down to LA. wee a 7 hour drive. again. and when i say again it is because on labor day weekend meta and i did the trek in her car, but all the way from portland down to LA. it was an eventful time and we pick up sled in SF on the way. when we got back to long beach we spent most of the time cleaning and fixing things up and had to deal with a mini-moth infestation in our cabinets. ew. but that's all behind us now. i'm heading back down there in less than a week for all sorts of fun. karma, karen and i are running a workshop on the 15th called betwixt and then we are all attending meta and ken's workshop on exurban noir the next two days. then ubicomp 2006 fun begins and karma, karen and i present our poster on our new project undersound. wohoo. i'll keep you posted on how it goes. honest ;]
