someone tell me what they are saying about undersound... and us!

i'm trying to figure out getting a visa to the uk and it's blowing my mind. or at least the stupid forms are. apparently i am allowed a maximum of 4 friends. i bet you are wondering if you made the cut ;]
the london book project is an endeavor that takes inspiration from many of the same social behaviours that we observed in the tube and incorporated into undersoung. although their website is not the greatest, the project has some nice ambitions:
The London Book Project is a free book exchange on a massive scale. Using the London Underground as a high speed distribution network, we aim to bring real literature to London's commuters. Scrap the freesheets - read a free book instead!i'm looking forward to seeing the results.Over the next two weeks we'll be distributing thousands of second hand books across the tube and we want YOU to get involved. If you see one of our books, please pick it up! Then read it and replace with any book of your choice. Let's make the tube a giant, free library!

now this is real sustainability. apparently the afrigadget blog has been pwned, but i'm really looking forward to reading more about diy technologies from africa and thinking about how this might actually affect design for other settings.

this art piece from rosemarie fiore bring the hidden patterns of amusement-park ride mobility to life. now how can i apply this to a city-wide scale... ;]
