Well, we've about two hundred people on one vast floor as part of an SAP implementation team; the offices are corners in a chevron-sequenced half-height wall arrangement that goes on for literally twenty offices at a shot. The visual seams are there (you don't face anyone directly) and if you look down at your desk, you can pretend you are alone. The aural portion, however, has no seams! Several hundred technical folks typing away and having local and phone conversations puts out a low roar. Give me a turbo-generator any day...
